Robotics and Drones for Precision Agriculture
MOLIRIS at Politecnico di Torino’s Event: Aerospace Technologies for Agriculture
How can agriculture be optimised by combining ground robotics and drones? This was the key focus of “Aerospace Technologies for Agriculture”, an event organised by the Politecnico di Torino – DIMEAS Department (https://www.dimeas.polito.it/) at its Mondovì campus. Info Solution took part with MOLIRIS, our advanced autonomous navigation system for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).
During the event, we presented MOLIRIS and its potential to work in synergy with MavTech’s UAVs (https://www.mavtech.eu/it/), paving the way for more efficient and sustainable precision agriculture. This innovative integration of autonomous aerial and ground systems offers multiple advantages:
🔹 Aerial monitoring with drones → Advanced crop analysis and early detection of critical areas
🔹 Targeted intervention with UGVs → Autonomous navigation between rows for inspection and treatment
🔹 Air–ground synergy → Resource optimisation and smart automation
The combination of ground robotics and aerial drones opens up new possibilities for agriculture, enabling accurate analysis and timely interventions in the field. Our collaboration with MavTech is a concrete example of how autonomous technologies can boost agricultural productivity while reducing environmental impact.
