History
INFO SOLUTION IS ESTABLISHED IN MILAN
The company is set up as a specialist designer of software and firmware for real-time systems in hi-tech sectors such as Aerospace, Defence and Telecommunications; it begins growing at a very fast rate.
The new company’s strength is its strong customer orientation combined with the skills and system vision of its core group of engineers.
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS SOFTWARE
The company expands its offering to better meet the market’s technological requirements; it creates two in-house competence centres specialising in embedded systems software and supervision software.
NEW SECTORS NEW LOCATIONS
Management implements a multi-level growth strategy for expansion in new sectors transitioning from electromechanics to electronics, such as Home Appliances, Rail, Naval. It also grows at territorial level with the opening of several offices in Italy providing a wide range of technological expertise, including hardware design of microprocessor systems.
Mars Express
Info Solution collaborates with leading national aerospace companies on the development of the Marsis radar on-board and ground software, installed on the ESA’s Mars Express satellite. The Marsis SAR mission has detected water below the surface of Mars https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/MARSIS
OPENING OF THE ROME OFFICE
The business expands into central Italy with the opening of the new Rome office at the technology hub in the “Tiburtina Valley”, a strategic location close to the Rome branches of the company’s key customers.
UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFICATION
Info Solution S.p.A. obtains certification of conformity with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 (ISO 9001:2008) standard for the quality management system of its electronic systems design and software development processes and supply of professional services.
SAVE ENERGY DIVISION
The company establishes its first market-specific division, Save Energy, for the design, production and marketing of products and services for energy efficiency and rational use of energy in homes in Italy and abroad. Info Solution develops a complete indirect heat metering system, on which it holds the intellectual property rights, with installation and billing services.
NEW OFFICE IN GENOA
The company continues its expansion in Italy with the opening of a new office in Genoa.
The same year, its internal organisation grows with the new Research & Innovation (R&I) division, which joins the long-standing Consulting & Development (C&D) core business.
SAVE ENERGY S.R.L. SPIN-OFF
Save Energy S.r.l., the first Italian manufacturer of heat cost allocators, is spun off from the Save Energy division. Given its unique standing, Save Energy is invited to join the metering working parties at the Comitato Termotecnico Italiano (a federated entity of the UNI, Italy’s national standards body), for the drafting and updating of national standards in the sector. The new group company reports rapid growth in sales of heat metering products and services.
Thanks to the work of the R&I division, Info Solution wins two research contracts: one in the field of energy efficiency and one in the field of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles).

NEW COMPETENCES
C&D broadens its skills offer to include Validation (System Integration, IV&V, Robust Design, RAMS Analysis, Risk Analysis…).
SALE OF THE SAVE ENERGY SPIN-OFF
Info Solution sells the Save Energy srl subsidiary to an Italian industrial group, which becomes the leading national player in indirect heat metering.
A successful operation that concludes the new business creation cycle.
Info Solution strengthens its capital structure and focuses on the design and implementation of innovative systems in emerging markets,
with the creation of Engineering & Manufacturing (E&M), an in-house division for the engineering and production of electronic systems. The company capitalises on the product development experience gained through Save Energy and its production management knowhow, with more than 300,000 pieces per year.
The R&I division initiates major research projects with regional authorities and contracts from the Ministry of Defence for autonomous vehicles and telemedicine.
DEVELOPMENT OF OWN PRODUCTS
The company decides to invest in the development of its own identification and traceability products: it opens a new site in Udine for the manufacture of products based on RFID technology. At the end of 2014, it wins the Lombardy regional tender for the supply of a transfusion transport tracking system based on RFID technology.
It wins the first Italian pre-commercial procurement for the design of an innovative ‘bed mover’, patented jointly with Milan Polytechnic and Bicocca University in Milan;
for smart cities, it creates the Cheonix business line of remote reading and remote control systems for smart meters and sensors.
in autonomous navigation, it consolidates its research with new projects on unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), which will merge into the Moliris business line.
It continues to conduct research in collaboration with important research centres

AS9100 CERTIFICATION
To strengthen its C&D business in AeroSpace and Defence (ASD), Info Solution acquires AS9100 certification for the design and manufacture of complete systems and their components (hardware, software and mechanical parts) for the aerospace industry.
An example is the electromechanical Drill simulator of the ExoMars mission launched in 2020 to explore Mars.

Following the sale of its technology consulting operation, Info Solution is now fully focused on the development and marketing of innovative electronic systems and related software, with dedicated product lines, each with its own brand:
Cheonix, devices and platforms for smart metering;
Moliris, localisation and autonomous navigation systems applied to mobile robots;
Kedos-Net, healthcare systems and solutions, intended specifically for telerehabilitation, hospital-bed handling and RFID trackability for transfusion operations; The company continues to conduct research in collaboration with major research centres and to take part in regional and national calls for tenders.
