Project Description
Smart Patrolling System consists in the development of an autonomous mobile robot capable of patrolling an outdoor area autonomously, avoiding fixed and mobile, foreseen and unexpected obstacles. The vehicle is able to detect the presence of intruders through optical and olfactory sensors. The system has perceptual capabilities superior to those of a human being given by the fusion of optical, laser and also olfactory data sources aiming to the detection of hidden human presences. Once the presence of intruders has been detected, the system will alert the operations center by sending images.
