Project Description

TELEREHAB foresees the innovative development of an integrated platform specific for the remote rehabilitation of the wrist.

All the design phases make use of participatory development methodologies, in which all stakeholders collaborate, with the active participation of the University of Salento, specialized in analysis and modeling of healthcare workflows, and the Polytechnic of Bari.

We want to innovate the entire process starting from the patient acceptance phase, medical history and diagnosis, with the definition of the rehabilitation treatment, then moving on to the rehabilitation sessions and, finally, ending at the intermediate and final assessment and control phases.

To measure the status and progress in therapy, specific hardware devices have been developed to be used after the treatments for instrumental measurement of the patient’s joint capacities. The devices are characterized by an extreme ease of use and through APP on a mobile device they allow you to perform the therapy in a stimulating and flexible way, collecting detailed data for each exercise session.

An ICT platform allows to collect, organize and visualize the results. Politecnico of Bari will also support the partnership, producing algorithms and calculation methods capable of identifying the relevant information content from a fairly significant amount of data.
